Michael Berger wins design competition for the Werner-von-Siemens-Ring 2016.
The jury of the design competition for the Werner-von-Siemens-Ring consulted in Berlin last Friday and came to a conclusion after extensive discussion. The jury selected the submitted artwork by Michael Berger from Düsseldorf as the successful design.
Justification of the jury:
"The jury unanimously decided to honor Mr. Michael Berger from Düsseldorf as the winner of the design competition" Werner-von-Siemens-Ring 2016 ". In his design, he perfectly combines his own fascination with technical innovation and classic goldsmith craftwork, and translates this to the personal life's work of the honorary ring bearer, Dr. Ing. Martin Herrenknecht. About the technique of kinetics Michael Berger offers an introduction to his design idea. Ring and cassette are in a close dialogue. They speak for the detailed concept, which presents a completely new contemporary approach to the Werner-von-Siemens-Ring. "
